Abstract

In the city of Sobral / CE, the application of the audit as a management tool of the Unified Health System (SUS) has been developed with the purpose of assisting members of management ineffective discharge of its functions and responsibilities, providing them with analyzes, appraisals, recommendations and comments pertaining to the activities reviewed. In reality, it hasn’t involved only a supervisory nature, or punitive damages, only returning to correct flaws. As methodology, the audit team has identified the tool PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) as a major route in the organization and improvement of the health work. The aim of this paper is to present a methodological proposal for the work of Audit in Health from the experience report on the use of PDCA tool in the process of audit work in Sobral, Ceará. Among the major advances that this study presents in relation to the issue of management of public administration, we could attempt to cite the guidance of managers in relation to the process of systematizing audit in health. This kind of contribution would subsidize in the process of organizing theoretical, methodological and technical-instrumental action in health professional audit by reporting a methodological way experienced efficiently at a medium-sized city, as well as support the definition strategies of action, the object recognition of professional intervention, as well as your goals and evaluate the results.
